Greenies balls a.k.a Green Tea Balls

I bought a bag of green tea powder the other day and haven't done much with it. I was looking for recipes with green tea powder but didn't find the one that suits my craving and suddenly I remembered my brownies balls recipe and I thought; hey, perhaps I can use green tea powder instead for the same recipe. So I tried it, et voila! It turns out even better then I expected. Yay!!

Ingredients:
1 cup  flour
60 gr matcha green tea powder
1 Tsp (5 ml) baking powder
¼ pinch of salt
4 Tbsp 60 ml melted butter
1 cup (250 ml) of sugar
1 tsp (5 ml) Vanilla extract
2 eggs
½ cup (250 ml) butterscotch chips (optionally white/black chocolate chips.. or even nuts !!!)
¼ cup of powdered sugar (in my case, I used only flour so it doesn't oversweet the cookies)

1. In a bowl, mix flour, matcha green tea powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt, then set aside.

2. In a mixing bowl,  cream the butter, sugar, vanilla extract and eggs with an electric mixer.
3. After the butter mix is ready, add in the flour mix. Turn the mixer once again and mix well.
4. Add in the butterscotch chips. This time mix it with a spatula so you don`t break the chips.

5. Take 1 tbsp or 2 of the mixture, and shape it into a ball. Do this for the entire mixture.
6. Roll the balls on powdered sugar.
7. Bake it for 15 minutes in the preheat oven at 350 F and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Happy cooking!!

PS: if you find your dough is too mushy, perhaps its because the eggs you are using are bigger then the ones I used. Simply add more flour, bit by bit until the dough are easy to be shape into balls.
