Banana, ooh na-na
All day I dream about banana, ooh na-na
So I made this bread of banana, na-na-na
Oh, but my home smells like banana (ay)
There nothin' wrong 'bout this matter (uh huh)
Banana, ooh na-na (uh)

Looking for a light fluffy chocolate cake with a soft, rich, and moist texture in the inside? Look no further, here I share you my favorite recipe! I separate the batter into two molds so I can put a thick slab of Nutella in the middle, because as well all know, Nutella makes everything better :)

When I was a kid, almost every evening my dad had his coffee time and he (almost) always had his jar of snack to enjoy with, it can be cassava chips, banana chips, bakpia pathok, ampyang, etc... Ampyang is one of javanese sweet savory snack made of peanut and palm sugar, with a hint taste of ginger. This snack mostly made in a home-industry.

I bought a bag of roasted peanut today so I can make myself some ampyang. I imagined to have it for my tea time this afternoon. Unfortunately the peanut was stale (apek), seemed like it has been in the store for too long altho it hasn't passed its expiry date and bad peanut makes bad ampyang. It was pretty annoying. I want my brittle!

I snacked on a bucket of fresh wild blueberry in the kitchen, sulking on my lost hope of enjoying ampyang when I suddenly got this idea; why don't I make brittle from blueberries instead?  If I think about it, google must have it, et voila, I found an easy recipe and I gave it a try. It turned out pretty awesome (altho its nothing compare my ampyang.. -sulk.. sulk.. sulk.. )

I bought a bag of green tea powder the other day and haven't done much with it. I was looking for recipes with green tea powder but didn't find the one that suits my craving and suddenly I remembered my brownies balls recipe and I thought; hey, perhaps I can use green tea powder instead for the same recipe. So I tried it, et voila! It turns out even better then I expected. Yay!!

Simple dessert, takes you only few minutes to make it..

Get ready to get chocolate overdosed because the amount of chocolate in this cake is too damn high!

Ingredients:

1 cup (250ml) flour
½ cup (125 ml) cacao powder
1 Tsp (5 ml) baking powder
¼ pinch of salt
4 Tbsp 60 ml melted butter
1 cup (250 ml) of sugar
1 tsp (5 ml) Vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup (250 ml) dark chocolate chips
½ Cup 125 gr powdered sugar

1. In a bowl, mix flour, cacao powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt, then set aside.
2. In a mixing bowl, put in butter, sugar, vanilla extract and eggs. Turn the mixer on till everything is well blended.
3. After the butter mix is ready, add in the flour mix. Turn the mixer once again.
4. Add in the choco chips. This time mix it with a spatula so you don`t break the chips.
5. If you find your mix turn out to be a bit to mushy to shape into little balls, put it in the fridge for an hour or two. In my case, I didn`t have to.
6. Take 1 tbsp or 2 of the mixture, and shape it into a ball. Do this for the entire mixture.
7. Roll the balls on powdered sugar.

8. Bake it for 12 minutes at 350F.

Happy Cooking!
