Chicken Heart on skewers

Another recipe with chicken hearts!

500 grams of chicken hearts
2 shallots, finely chopped
4 kaffir lime leaves
¼ tsp ginger powder
¼ cup Ketjap Manis
Pepper to taste

1. Clean the chicken hearts then pat dry with some paper towels. With a sharp knife, make a small slit on the side of each heart, this will help the marinate penetrate the hearts.
2. In a bowl that can be covered, put the shallots, Kaffir lime leaves, ginger powder and ketjap manis. Mix well.
3. Put the chicken hearts in the mix, tossing to coat. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for a few  hours.
4. Arrange the hearts on skewers. Grill on medium high heat. Basting the left over marinate sauce on each side of the hearts while cooking.
5. Serve with rice and sambal cobek.
