Es Campur [ Indonesian Milky Fruit Cocktail ]
This little bowl full of happiness is my favorite childhood cocktail. Its easy to prepare, good looking enough to serve as a dessert for guests and it tastes yummy!
Ingredients:
1 Liter of water
1 can condensed milk
3 Tbsp red syrup. I used Marjan Cocopandan (Indonesian syrup brand), I am sure Grenadine syrup will do to
1 can of ripe jack-fruit, diced (throw out the syrup from the can)
1 can of Nata de Coco (throw out the syrup from the can)
1 can of palm seed fruit (optional, you can use diced jelly or agar-agar)
2 firm ripe avocado, diced
1 can of lychee fruit, diced (throw out the syrup from the can)
3 Tbsp red syrup. I used Marjan Cocopandan, I am sure Grenadine syrup will do to
1. In a big bowl, mix well condensed milk, red syrup and water, then add jack-fruit, Nata de coco, palm seed fruit, diced avocado and diced lychee. Mix gently and serve in small bowl. Serve with few ice cubes.
PS: You can find all of the ingredients at local Thai/Asian groceries store. Be creative and substitute the ingredients that you can't find easily with any other fruits that might go well with milk. For example, I dont think pineapple will go well in a milky-taste cocktail, I'd suggest you to not use that fruit.
You can keep this cocktail for 2 days in the refrigerator.
